Joint High-Level Council for the Doctorate: Prof. Maria Chiara Malaguti, President of UNIDROIT, serves as the President of the Joint Doctorate Programme and chairs its Joint High-Level Council. This Council is composed of eminent experts nominated by UPEACE, GIOYA, and their institutional partners: the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, the UNIDROIT Academy, the University of Torino, and ICES.

Recognition: The Joint Degree has been accredited by both GIOYA HEI, as a higher education program, accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority, at Level 8 of the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning, adding European validity to the Degree, and the UN University for Peace – UPEACE – an international university and intergovernmental organization established as a treaty by the United Nations General Assembly in 1980.
Admission requirements: A joint selection committee will assess the professional and academic profile of the candidate, as well as their motivation and research proposal.
Candidates without a Level 7 qualification (EQF), but with the necessary academic and research skills for Level 8 study, can be admitted to the Executive Doctorate joint program through a pre-doctorate course.
