GIOYA Insights Magazine — Issue No. 04
The Summer 2026 edition of GIOYA Insights brings together research, strategic reflection and the story behind GIOYA’s own identity.
This issue opens with Michele Molon, GIOYA HEI alumnus and Group CEO of Schwan-Stabilo Group, presenting the outcomes of his Bachelor’s thesis, Cracks in the Stone: Strategic Blind Spots in the Age of Lab-Grown Diamonds. His research explores how disruption in the diamond industry is reshaping not only products and markets, but the very meaning of value in luxury.
The Molon Dilemma takes the discussion further, examining four strategic blind spots — status quo bias, loss aversion, historical anchoring and fear of cannibalisation — and asking how established brands can reinvent themselves without destroying the emotional capital they have built over time.
The edition also turns to GIOYA itself through The Origin of the GIOYA Brand Identity, an interview with Sergio Bianco, founder of Logogenesi and creator of the GIOYA brand identity. From its maritime roots and the legacy of the compass to the four interlaced Gs that form its symbol, the feature explores how movement, orientation, growth and purpose became embedded in the GIOYA brand.
